Nehalennia, A Goddess of Abundance and Seafaring was honored as early as 2nd CBCE... so reports this widipedia link... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nehalennia
Seems she always appears with a boat, a dog and sometimes apples... not a well-know figure in goddess lore... I'm on a search to find out more... is she really who she seems... the keeper of our abundance dreams... a weaver of the knowing of the oceans deep, with 'man's best friend' at her feet... a goddess who throughout all time, has known the nature of our minds. The fruit of our journey, learning to flow in unconditional love thru all, seems possibly presented in the few images we have of her.

Linden Hill homework
Well, the old steps, layers of brick, stone, mortar and more really old brick have been chipped away from the kitchen doorway. Temporary steps Skip made from cranberry boxes and a couple of boards. There's sill repair, shingles, etc. to finish up, the new step, a giant granite stone should arrive on Thursday.
Tho' this is the first blog about our old house, watch for pic series to catch up the process of the last few years... many cudo's to Beth, Five Pine Garden Design for amazing gardens, the new labyrinth, and soon the new step and walk ...

Cranberries
Oh... did I remember to say we have started cranberry harvest... beautiful as usual.
Long days, and when we're lucky, not too long nites... am looking for great cranberry recipes...
to share in a Back to Basics Class class I'm teaching... if you'd like to share... am hoping a
little old-fashioned home-made cranberry cook book may come out of it eventually. thanks.
Saw Elaine Erickson Hanula this evening, she said she'd spent time in Maine with Chris Young...
certainly a lot of re-connecting going on!
